Job Opening: Boat and Small Engine Mechanic

Job Description

  • You will perform routine marine maintenance. Mercury, Volvo Penta, Evinrude, Yamaha, etc.
  • Will perform standard engine service, repair and maintenance on other small engines.
  • Inboards and outboards, personal watercraft, and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
  • You will repair customers boats/units with top level quality.
  • Determine root cause of defects and execute corrective action.
  • You will determine information, tools, parts and equipment to complete tasks.
  • You will dismantle and repair defective equipment or engine, replace parts and reassemble.
  • You will use precaution to protect every boat/unit and ensure cleanliness while servicing and assist in keeping the shop clean.

Candidate Skills

  • Marine Mechanical knowledge and experience is an asset, mechanical knowledge and training in any industry will be considered.
  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Operate forklift occasionally to move boats as required.
  • Positive and dedicated attitude.
  • A desire for self improvement and learning, we encourage education and training at Mercury University.
  • Accountable and reliable.

Must have reliable transportation

Must be available to work weekends
